Ryan has always loved the artisan small batch wines of Italy. Megan (although slightly biased) will say that South Africa is the best. During our trip to South Africa in 2022, Megan tried to convince Ryan to switch to the South African wines but his love for Italian wine still prevails (hence the name for our puppy being Rosato).
Getting married in Cape Town was an obvious decision. The city has an energy that you can't find anywhere else, in Ryan's words:
"it just hits differently".
Our wedding venue is a working wine farm, owned by Hein and Adi Badenhorst who make natural wines using biodynamic methods. The way Jesus would have.
Coincidentally, their Chenin blanc was the first natural wine we managed to convince Megan's dad to order when celebrating our engagement in Melbourne. Rosa likes it too!
When we later discovered that they also hosted weddings, the decision was made for us.
