What better way to welcome you to Cape Town than with a glass of bubbles and a cruise around the V&A.

After the cruise around the harbour we will be heading to Gold restaurant. Get ready to drum and dance your way through 10 traditional South African dishes.

Wine Tram

A marathon not a sprint. A day full of wine tastings SA style.

❦ Date: Wednesday 18 February 2026 

❦ Time: We have booked the 'tram first' 10.30 am slot.  You can choose to start on the tram or bus. Once on you can hop on/off either options to suit you. 

❦ Where: Franschhoek 

❦ Tram Line: Blue 

❦ Cost: R350pp (£15pp) tastings not included

❦ Please book your tram online if you wish to attend (click the photo of Meg). 

Important: The wine tram will book up quickly as it is peak season in Cape Town. If this is something you would like to do whilst in South Africa please book as soon as possible. 

If you have limited time in the Winelands we recommend the Navy line which covers Boschendal, Vrede en Lust and Bartinney. We chose the Blue line because Ryan wants maximum return on number of stops. 

Boschendal Picnic

A relaxing afternoon spent with a picnic at Boschendal wine estate. This was always a highlight of Meg's holidays to Cape Town as a child.
